JOHNNY INDOVINA’S SOUND OF THE BLUE HEART RELEASES NEW CD: WIND OF CHANGE

The band’s second release is filled with 10 compelling tracks highlighted by Indovina’s incomparable lyrics

The powerful and enigmatic Johnny Indovina fronted the critically acclaimed band of the late 80's and 90's, Human Drama. The band made its mark on the Los Angeles music scene, a mark that has barely faded despite the decades that have passed.  In 2006, Indovina debuted his new group, Sound of the Blue Heart, with the album titled ...Beauty?  Tracks from the disc hit over 100 radio stations across the Internet, College and Community Radio markets with passionate listener and DJ response. Now, Johnny Indovina and Sound of the Blue Heart delve deeper into the powerful emotions that ...Beauty? exposed, provoking the listener with vulnerable, honest, and haunting lyrics and stirring musical dynamics.  The disc hits the streets on July 14 and will be available digitally on such sites as iTunes, Rhapsody, emusic, Amazon and many more. It will also be available Nationwide through various retail outlets.

Over the last two decades, Indovina has recorded over a dozen brilliant, critically acclaimed albums. His perseverance and determination to continue to write and record music against all odds is reminiscent of uncompromising artists like Tom Waits, Daniel Lanois and Leonard Cohen.  With no major record label support for virtually his entire career, Indovina has continued to inspire thousands of fans across the world with albums that take listeners on a journey that spans the entire emotional spectrum - hopes, prayers, dreams, heart, soul, mind, love, life, and death.

On Wind of Change, Indovina musically and lyrically clutches the listener with sounds, words, and the bearing of the raw, often dark emotions that we all share, but fear to face.  He expresses that the inspiration for the songs came from the various disturbing elements of our current establishment, like homelessness; and facing the questions that deal with one’s own mortality, place and legacy in life.

Sound of the Blue Heart features guitarists Gregg Burns and Tim Grove, bassist Michael Mallory, drummer Rob Cournoyer and Keyboard player Rebecca Bolam.  Each musician a seasoned and inventive artist in their own right, their contributions both creatively and musically support and elevate Indovina’s masterful songwriting and arrangements,
