Celebrate the end of one era and the beginning of another. Billy Shire has decided to close his Billy Shire Fine Arts gallery in Culver City and will be expanding his La Luz de Jesus space located in the Wacko/Soap Plant building to double its current size. The revamped space will feature two galleries and have two monthly shows.
On March 6th, Billy Shire Fine Arts will be holding a closing party for not only the current Dave McKean and Century Guild exhibitions, but also a closing party for Billy Shire Fine Arts. The festivities include a DJ set by Ground Control's own Andrew Holguin (aka DJ MP3sark) and a live performance by the legendary steampunk band Unextraordinary Gentlemen, sponsored by IBC Tequila and Chang Thai Beer.
This party is an official thank you to those who have supported La Luz de Jesus Gallery and BSFA over the years, so bring a receipt for a purchase of $5 or more dated anytime within the last nine months as your ticket for admission to this once in a lifetime event. Regular patrons should RSVP with the gallery director.
