Designer, club owner and hot rod enthusiast Bobby Green opened Bigfoot Lodge in Los Angeles on June 11, 1999. The bar with its log cabin motif and forest theme was an immediate success among a wide range of patrons. Green later opened Bigfoot Lodge San Francisco as well a string of high-concept bars throughout the Los Angeles area.

Green had his first proprietary experience as the co-owner of a coffeehouse called Cacao, located on the West Side of Los Angeles. Cacao is known as the venue that showcased artist Shag’s first art show, in 1996.

Green was originally from Oklahoma and moved to Los Angeles with his family at the age of 11. He did a stint as a child actor, playing roles in many commercials as well as the movie “Scrooge”. Green’s childhood fondness for themed establishments ranging from Disneyland to “tiki” restaurants had a far reaching affect on his adulthood. With a bit of art education picked up at various city colleges such as Pierce, Santa Monica and UCLA extension, and a lot of passion and drive, Green created some of Los Angeles’ hippest themed nightclubs; Bigfoot Lodge, Little Cave, Saints & Sinners and The Lucky Tiki.

In his spare time, Green builds and races hot rods.
