Los Angeles, CA – May 19, 2009
The 1933 Group announced today that it will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a week of festivities from June 22nd-28th. Since its inception in 1999, the Americana inspired partnership, founded by Dimitri Komarov, Bobby Green and Dmitry Liberman has grown from one location in Atwater Village to six locations throughout Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Taking their name from the year Prohibition was repealed, the group prides itself on bringing the neighborhood bar back at the hands of design genius Bobby Green. Green draws his inspiration from his own life experiences turning local bars into a nightlife work of art.
The company is marking its flagship’s anniversary with reintroducing live bands on Sunday afternoons, Sasquatch sightings, rolling back prices and the opening of its new Culver City hotspot, Bigfoot West.
